In 2006 we opened River Café as a Wine & Tapas Bar. Our aim was to create an unconventional meeting place that both inspired and relaxed.

A place which people of all ages, cultures and walks of life can enjoy. Since then many have tried to imitate us and failed. Some still do and have even gone as far as stealing almost half of our menu.

We are flattered by this as it shows that we have succeeded in our aim.

We are open from noon with last rounds at ten at night, Monday to Saturday. Sorry, no large groups and no children after dark.

We don’t believe in selling our souls to large companies in exchange for free umbrellas and ice buckets, resulting in the boring menus you see all over town.

Instead we believe in offering you a wide, sometimes unusual, but interesting choice in food and drink.

We normally have more than 50 beers on offer and will continue to expand the selection.

As with our wines we want you to experiment with different beer styles and tastes. It's fun and educational.

Note that as many of the beers are imported, we might have supply problems from time to time.
